What External Devices can be Connected to the PC ? |

This very open ended question has no real limits other than to say that the device must have some electrical/electronic component of some sort. Electric motors, lights, heaters, audio devices etc are easy to imagine connected to a PC by some suitable interface, but what about water valves, pneumatic actuators and humidity measurement. The later may be less obvious but achievable none the less using suitable intermediary devices such as solenoids and sensors. |

| In this section we will ignore the common attachments like the keyboard, mouse and printer and examine a range of devices that, when attached and controlled, will allow the PC to participate in a wide range of control, automation and measurement applications. | ||
